These EuroVelo GPX tracks are made available under the Open Database License. While ECF and National EuroVelo Coordination Centers and Coordinators (NECCs) make every effort to ensure the tracks and their levels of development are both current and accurate, errors or outdated information can occur. The user is fully responsible for his or her own safety when making use of the tracks and for following national traffic rules and signing.

EuroVelo 13 allows cyclists to follow the 'Iron Curtain', the border that divided Europe into East and West for almost half a century during the course of the cold war. The more than 10,600 km long route offers a living history lesson while reminding us that peace and reconciliation are now more needed than ever. One of the longest EuroVelo routes, it has something to offer for everyone: foodies will love the vineyards of southern Czechia and northern Austria; nature enthusiasts can enjoy the pristine greenery and wildlife in the former no man's land of the border; while cultural connoisseurs can look forward to the bustling port cities of the Baltic and vibrant capitals such as Bratislava and Riga.
The development of EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail is supported by the Interreg Central Europe project ICTr-CE. In the context of the project, ECF together with project partners developed an innovative cycling product - known as Good Impact Cycling - sold by official EuroVelo 13 Booking Centres to allow cyclists to experience the Iron Curtain Trail while leaving a positive influence. Using tools such as the CARMACAL carbon footprint calculator and the Impact Measurement System, the offers estimate the environmental and social impact of the tours. The Good Impact Programme reduces these impacts by allocating funds to projects focusing on environmental, social, and economic impacts, strengthening the positive contributions of cycling tourism to the regions. On Austrian territory there are train stations along the route about every five kilometres. The combination with the many Bed+Bike accommodation establishments allows for very flexible travel, depending on the weather or personal preferences. The bett+bike logo by ADFC can be found not only in Germany but in many other countries such as Austria, Belgium or Denmark. On the website certified accommodations are divided in four categories: bett+bike hosts, sports, camping and holiday homes. In addition, the results can be subdivided into regions and cycle routes. For an easier use while cycling, the bett+bike services can also be viewed with an app.

A network of 135 hotels, 9 municipalities and 60 partners managed by NatTour, a non-for-profit organisation. The Bike Friendly Label is a verification awarded to Hotels, Municipalities / Destinations and other bodies related to cycling in Greece that fulfil a number of criteria for servicing and facilitating cyclists.
"Weinviertel" covers only the Weinviertel region of Lower Austria but gives much information on cycling friendly restaurants and accommodations. Further, it informs about resting stations with drinking water and bike rentals.
"Miejsce Przyjazne Rowerzystom" is the recently created (2022) bicycle-friendly system of the Westpomerania Region, Poland, providing services to cyclists, divided into the following categories: accommodation facilities, catering facilities, tourist attractions, tourist information points and other commercial and service facilities.

The Cyclist Welcome programme in Estonia is designed to make life easier for cyclists looking for accommodation answering their needs. Cyclist Welcome certified businesses cater to cycling tourists by providing secure storage for bicycles, a foot pump and basic tools, a charging station, and information on cycling routes and services in the area. These certified accommodations are also available to share ideas for extending your cycling holiday, making an extra stop, relaxing, and discovering more of the local life.
In Hungary, the national cycling-friendly service scheme was launched in cooperation with MAKETUSZ in the frame of the Cyclists Welcome in V4 project. There are now nearly 700 certified members. The goal is to have 1,500 service providers registered by the end of 2023. Velo Popas is the first certification for cycling friendly services in Romania. The project is part of the Cyclists Welcome network and is coordinated by POPASURI - an NGO aiming to promote and to protect the Romanian heritage through sustainable activities and tourism. The certification process is managed by Bike in time.
Finland offers a wide range of bike-friendly accommodations, restaurants, cafes, tour operators, attractions, and bike transport services, all dedicated to providing excellent service for cycling travelers. These establishments adhere to the bike-friendly service standards set by Bikeland and can be easily recognized by the Welcome Cyclist badge displayed at their entrance.
